Who we are

Scripta Logs is run by Scripta Care, run by Deaglan Carr, an individual based in the UK. For questions about this notice, email enquiries@scriptacare.co.uk.

The short version

Scripta Logs is a preview that holds made-up sample records. Don't enter real details about children or staff. Anything you add or change stays in your browser tab and is gone when you log out, refresh or close the tab. Nothing is sent to us, and there are no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking.

Scripta Logs: the sample records

• The preview runs entirely in your browser tab, with its own sample database. What you type, the files you add and the records you change are not sent to us, to our hosting provider or to any other service.
• The sample database is held in the tab's memory only. It is not saved to your device's storage, and it goes back to the sample records when you log out, refresh or close the tab.
• The preview only loads its own files, such as its fonts and the libraries that show Word and PDF files.
• Exports and documents you download are saved where you choose.

The preview password

The password is checked in your browser. When it's right, the page leaves a short note in the tab's session storage so the app can open, and the app deletes that note as soon as it opens. That's why it asks for the password every time.

Cookies and tracking

Scripta Logs sets no cookies. Apart from the password note above, it saves nothing in your browser's storage. It has no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts.

If you contact us

If you email us or use the contact form, we use your name, email address and message only to reply to you. Messages sent through the contact form pass through Web3Forms, a form service that emails them to our inbox. You can read Web3Forms' privacy policy. We keep that correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your question and then delete it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Never send us children's records or other identifying case information.

Information our hosting provider handles

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the technical information needed to deliver the pages and keep them secure, such as your IP address, your browser type and the time of your visit. It does this on our behalf, and this information never includes anything you type into Scripta Logs.

Cloudflare may process this information outside the UK, using legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Your rights and complaints

Apart from hosting information and any emails you send us, we hold no personal information about you. You have the right to ask for a copy of any information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. Use the contact details at the top of this notice.

If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office through ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We'll update this page if anything changes, and change the date at the top.
